EPR training

The HCS IT Training Team offer training and guidance on Electronic Patient Records (EPR on IMS Maxims).

You must complete the relevant eLearning modules on Connect and attend face to face training with the HCS IT Training Team. Your manager will organise your access to Connect and liaise with the HCS IT Training Team to book your face to face training.

Connect

Connect is the overarching term for core GoJ IT systems.

Get your ID badge

ID badges are issued from the PAC office situated next to the Parade entrance of the General Hospital. Badges are issued by the ID Requests Team. ID badges are issued, between 1pm and 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.

Complete the application form before going to the PAC office to get your badge. You will need a verified form of identification to obtain your badge.  The ID requests Team won’t  issue your badge without a completed form and verified ID.  presenting this completed form. Identification Card Application Form

Log on to your phone

The Hot Desking feature lets you to log in to any phone or temporarily move to another phone and maintain your personal identity and preferred phone configuration settings. 

You can log on to any Hot Desk enabled phone using:

  • the Hot Desk feature code (default is 348)
  • your extension number
  • your passcode

The system will apply your phone profile to the phone. 

To log on to a Hot Desk-enabled base phone: 

1.  do one of the following: 

  • Press the Hot Desk feature button (if one is programmed on the phone). 
  • Press the LOGIN menu button (on six-line display phones). 
  • Dial 348. Display phones show ENTER HOT DESK EXTENSION. 

2. Dial your assigned Hot Desk extension number. Display phones show ENTER PASSCODE. 

3. Dial your assigned Hot Desk passcode. Display phones show HOT DESK SESSION ACTIVATED for five seconds. 

To log off of a Hot Desk session: Do one of the following: 

  • Press the Hot Desk feature button (if one is programmed on the phone). 
  • Press the LOGOUT menu button (on six-line display phones). 
  • Dial 348. Display phones show HOT DESK SESSION TERMINATED for five seconds.

If you forget to log off and then attempt to log on elsewhere, the system automatically logs you off of the original phone so that you can log on to the new phone.

If you are a doctor, give your mobile number to Switchboard so you can be contacted when you’re on call. Dial ‘0’ or email: HSSSwitchboard@gov.je  

Update your personal profile

Your profile let’s your colleagues know who you are and what you do. It is your responsibility to keep you profile updated. You can edit your personal information here: Edit Details. It will take around 2 hours for your updates to go live.

Personalising your profile will take you 5 minutes to do. if you fill the work and mobile phone fields it makes them available in Teams and Outlook contacts. Adding a profile picture helps colleagues recognise you.

If you’re a doctor on call, you should give your mobile number to Switchboard. To contact the switchboard dial ‘0’ or email HSSSwitchboard@gov.je

Use a printer

Some of our printers need a 6 digit login number. To find your login go to PaperCut Login for States Of Jersey (gov.soj) using your work email address and password. Then select
